Can Xisquet was restored in 2006, giving great importance to sustainability and respect for the privileged environment that surrounds us.
Solar panels
Photovoltaic solar panels have been with us since 2006!
Rainwater collection
All the rainwater that falls on the roof of Can Xisquet and its terrace is stored in the pond to be used, during the long months of drought, for irrigation.
Goats and ducks
Our mini goats clear and clean the forest at the same time as fertilizing. No chemicals or noise.
Ducks keep frogs and mosquitoes at bay.
Salt water pool
Salt water (90% less than seawater) means less chemicals, and avoid eye and skin irritation.
It is a system that offers a filtering cycleecological and respectful of the environment.
Repair and transform
Our benches and seats made from a pine tree, which had to be removed due to its proximity to the house, are an example of transformation and reuse.
Mixed wood heating
To heat Can Xisquet we opted for a mixed boiler, which allows us to use wood and forest waste without having to process it.
Waste reduction
Refillable dispensers of soap, gel-shampoo, cologne; wheat and cork pens... Small details to contribute to the reduction of waste and plastics.
